What are your post graduation plans?: I’m excited to say I will be working as a Finance Associate at Prudential Financial starting this summer. I plan to pursue my MBA in a few years as well. However, I hope to travel as much as possible before I start working. Enjoying life is the ultimate goal!

What is your favorite UConn memory?: Last year, I had the opportunity to help coordinate a trip for 50 students to Texas for the men’s basketball national championship! Though I had three exams that week and only a few days to plan it, it is definitely one of the best memories I’ve had during my time at UConn. The 30-hour bus drive both there and back was definitely worth the incredible experience being there to watch in-person!

Why did you become a Husky?: I became a Husky because of everything UConn has to offer. I grew up watching UConn basketball and many of my friends and family members have attended UConn. But, I really knew I wanted to go here after my first time on campus. I was able to see first-hand the diverse range of classes, organizations, and opportunities that UConn offered. In addition, I loved the amount of school spirit and pride students had and I wanted to be a part of it!

What is your favorite place on campus?: I have two! My favorite outdoor place is Mirror Lake. Whether it’s just walking along the path next to it or being able to lie down on a nice day, it is so calming and relaxing. My favorite indoor place is Wilbur Cross, specifically the North and South Reading Rooms. I love studying there and the historic part of Wilbur Cross is beautiful!

What have you been involved in at UConn?: For my first two years, I was in the Business Connections Learning Community (BCLC) and was on the executive board my second year where I learned a lot about career development and business. Through the BCLC, I also became a Learning Community and Husky Ambassador for prospective students. I’ve also been involved in the Women in Business Society for all four years (and CFO for the past two) and have been in the Undergraduate Student Government for three years as the Academic Senator of the School of Business. Aside from organizations, I’ve worked at the Center for Career Development for three years as a Student Administrative Assistant and Peer Career Advisor/Career Intern.

What will you miss the most about UConn?: I will miss my friends the most! I have been able to meet incredibly supportive, smart, and overall amazing people during my four years here. I’ll definitely miss being able to see them so often and being within minutes away from them. I’m so grateful to have met people that I know will be lifelong friends!

What was your biggest accomplishment while at UConn?: One of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had at UConn is working as a Career Intern at the Center for Career Development. For almost three years, I’ve been able to help countless students on their career development, from critiquing résumés to building LinkedIn profiles. I feel most accomplished when I hear a success story from a student that I was able to share my knowledge with. However, when I finish my thesis in the next week that will definitely be a close second!

What advice do you have for underclassmen?: Get involved, keep an open mind, and have fun! Just attending classes will only take you so far in your college career and there is so much more you can do on campus. Explore what you’re interested in and passionate about. If you take on everything with an open mind, you will meet wonderful people, develop valuable skills, and find opportunities you never even knew you would’ve been able to have. But most importantly, have fun! Your time here will go by a lot quicker than you think. Enjoy and cherish every second of it!

What is one little known fact about you?: I can play three instruments and I’ve always wanted to be a professional violinist!

Anything else?: Thank you to everyone who has made these last four years unforgettable! I wouldn’t be where I am today without you all. Special shout out to everyone I’ve been fortunate to work with at the Center for Career Development, especially my wonderful supervisor, Ty McNamee, for nominating me for the Senior Spotlight!
